User Roles & Permissions

Updated yesterday

SupportFinity is built with structured access control to ensure privacy, clarity, and secure collaboration throughout your hiring process.

Each user in your organization is assigned a role. Roles define what users can see and what they can do inside the platform.

Why Roles Matter

User roles help you:

  • Protect sensitive company settings

  • Control who can create and manage jobs

  • Limit visibility where needed

  • Safely collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

This ensures a secure and well-organized hiring workflow.

Available User Roles

1. Administrator

The highest level of access in SupportFinity.

Administrators can:

  • Access all areas of the platform

  • Manage company settings

  • Open and edit jobs

  • Manage users and permissions

  • Access all candidate data and workflows

This role is typically assigned to company leaders or HR system owners.

2. Hiring Manager

A powerful operational role.

Hiring Managers can:

  • Access all hiring features

  • Open and manage jobs

  • Review candidates

  • Participate in hiring workflows

However, they cannot access company settings.

This role is ideal for department heads or team leaders actively hiring.

3. Recruiter

Recruiters have the same platform access as Hiring Managers.

Recruiters can:

  • Open and manage jobs

  • Source and review candidates

  • Manage hiring pipelines

  • Participate in communication and evaluation

They do not have access to company settings.

This role is designed for talent acquisition professionals.

4. Member

Members are internal users invited to collaborate on specific jobs.

Members:

  • Only access jobs they are invited to

  • Cannot open new jobs

  • Do not have access to company settings

  • Do not have access to the full timeline view

This role is ideal for interviewers or collaborators who need limited access.

5. External Member

External Members are users outside your company domain.

Anyone invited with a different email domain is automatically assigned as an External Member.

External Members:

  • Can only access the specific jobs they are invited to

  • Cannot open new jobs

  • Cannot access company settings

  • Have limited visibility inside the platform

This role allows secure collaboration with advisors, external recruiters, or consultants.
